These terms govern your use of the Yami iOS app and the yamiapp.eu website (together, "Yami"). By creating an account or using Yami, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Yami.
Yami is operated by Adam Bergman Karlsson, a sole developer based in Sweden. References to "we", "us", or "Yami" mean that. Contact: support@yamiapp.eu.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Yami on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store's Standard EULA.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One human per account, please. If you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else, email us right away.
You own the recipes, photos, notes, and collections you save in Yami. To make the app work — show your library back to you, sync across your devices, share collections with people you've invited — you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process that content. We don't sell, license, or use your content for any other purpose.
Don't use Yami to:
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
When you import a recipe from a website, social platform, or photo, Yami extracts the publicly visible information (title, ingredients, steps, image) so you can read it later inside the app. We always credit the original source and link back to it. If you're a creator and want your recipe removed from a user's library or from import, write to support@yamiapp.eu and we'll work with you.
Yami Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to:
You can delete your account at any time inside the app under Settings → Account. We can suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms or use Yami in a way that harms other users or the service. On termination, your account and content are deleted within 30 days; certain backups and audit logs may persist for up to 90 days.
Yami is provided "as is" and "as available". We try hard to make the app reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, accurate recipe parsing from every source, or the correctness of nutrition or allergen information. Recipes are imported from third parties or uploaded by users — always check ingredients yourself if you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish and EU law, Yami and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of profits, or substitute services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including your statutory rights as a consumer).
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes that can't be resolved by writing to us are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden, except where consumer protection laws give you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects you, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of Yami after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Questions, complaints, or anything else — write to support@yamiapp.eu.
